TianZi Shih Tzu

Quality isn't expensive...it's priceless!

It's been a long time since I blogged!

We had a wonderful time in Waukesha.  NaNa was Best in Sweeps and Lestat Best Opposite in Sweeps at the Shih Tzu Club of SE Wiscobsin Specialty.  Mona won her Sweeps class as well and I am sure it was hysterical watching me grab people to take dogs back in the ring for Best!  NaNa won her 9-12 Puppy Bitch class in the regular clases and Lestat and Mona were second in their Bred-by classes.

I only showed NaNa on Saturday and Sunday and although she didn't win any points she looked stunning (thanks, Sarah!) and showed beautifully.  I was honored to take NaNa's litter sister Minzy back in the ring for BOB on Saturday and she went BOS over the bitch Special!

The Specialty show itself was beautifully-run and everything was smooth as a just-ironed Shih Tzu coat!  Prizes were fabulous, lunch delish, and at the raffle I won one of Barb Brem's gorgeous hand-painted brushes.  At that point, I announced I was having such a good day that perhaps I would just spend the night at the site!  Thanks to all the club members responsible for making this a truly Special Specialty!  The legendary JoAnn White (author of "The Book of the Shih Tzu") was visiting Susan Kilgore and I was delighted to meet her...such a lovely lady!

My traveling companions for the weekend were the wonderful Jan and Sarah Bebee of SarJan's Shih Tzu (breeders of our precious NaNa).  Ladies, thank you so much for your friendship and mentor-ship!  You totally rock.  Also got to spend a bit of time with Greg Larson and my buddy Chase.  PJ went home with "Grandpa Greg" from the weekend and he had her walking on lead within days.  Love you, Greg!
